[WIN] Avène Thermal Spring Water Review

Posted on by Anouschka in Product Reviews, Reviews

I have two 50ml Avène Thermal Spring Water canisters to test and review and I’m giving one away to a lucky reader.

What is the natural key ingredient?

“Originating as pure rain mixed with sea-spray rich in mineral salts, Avène Thermal Spring Water makes its 50-year journey through the Cévennes Mountains in Avène, France.

It gradually becomes infused with trace elements and silicates, and comes in contact with an ancient microorganism Aqua.Dolomiae, which was first identified by Avène in 2001. This remarkable biological property combined with the well-known mineral properties of Avène Thermal Spring Water ensures gentleness and tolerance, creating a unique double signature that does not exist anywhere else in the world.

Over 150 stringent biological, pharmacological and clinical studies have clearly demonstrated the soothing, softening and calming benefits of AvèneThermal Spring Water.”

Where Can I Buy It?

Avène Thermal Spring Water 150ml – R 149.95 (Clicks)

What Do I Think Of It?

I’ve been using the spray for almost 2 weeks now, mainly for hydration on my face and neck, and have also been testing it on a rash on the back of my neck.

The spray is dispersed in a very fine mist which is amazingly cooling and soothing. I usually spray it on in-between my serum and moisturiser to try and lock in all the moisture. Even though I cannot clinically say that my skin is more hydrated, I do enjoy using it and it does compliment my other products.

The rash on the back of my neck hasn’t disappeared,  however I haven’t had to use the cortisone containing cream whilst using the spray, which is a huge plus. So it’s definitely soothing, although it won’t clear it (well at least it hasn’t yet).

I wonder if we would be allowed to use this on a plane, as it would be amazing to use then. Really freshen up and cool your dehydrated aeroplane face.

I’ll definitely continue using it and I’ve found the most benefit for cooling (after sports or sun), soothing (rash & itching).
