Essence Gel Nail Polish Review

Posted on by Anouschka in Product Reviews, Reviews

Most of us have tried one of the many in salon gel manicure’s (Bio-Sculpture, Shellac, Gelish). As much as I love that a gel mani does not chip and can last up to 3 weeks, the one little niggle I have is that you can’t really remove the gel yourself and have to go back to the salon to have it removed properly. And, yes, I’m guilty of removing it myself (trying to copy the nail technician with foils on my nails). Somehow I don’t seem to do as good a job.

I’d heard a beauty editor mention the latest Essence gel polish and was VERY keen to try it.

It’s not like the salon gel manicure’s, but the next generation of nail polish that you apply like our normal polish at home (no lamp needed), but has an incredibly long-lasting gel like effect.

I received these two gorgeous colours:

21 – a whispering of spring

24 – indian summer

The wider brush gives a perfect ‘one-stroke’ application, and the intensive colour gives you amazing coverage.

5 days after applying just 2 coats, my nail polish has not chipped and the tips are only a little bit scuffed due to washing and scrubbing dishes.

the gel nail polish system

1. simply apply the gel nail polish base coat and let it dry completely.
2. then apply the gel nail polish in the colour of your choice and let this dry well, too.
3. for a perfect finish, all you need now is a coat of the gel nail polish top coat – and you’re done!

the nail style is easy to remove using conventional nail polish remover.
