[Review] Aura Skincare Clinic – Parkhurst

Posted on by Nikki Temkin in Reviews, Spa Reviews

Aura skincare is one of my go-to salons— I have my nails done there occasionally—they do a sterling job and the experience is always very pleasant. Nestled in Parkhurst, the salon is elegant and comfortable.

So, it was, of course, a no-brainer when I was offered a !QMS Medicosmetics Neo Tissudermie Treament.  The skincare line is award-winning and I have always wanted to to try a facial. Dr. Schulte, the creator of these products, combined his passion for science with his vast experience whilst working as a surgeon in the fields of trauma and cosmetic surgery, to continually evolve the effectiveness of skincare. He sees the future of skincare as being interlinked with the development of modern technologies used to transport the ingredients deep into the epidermal layer.

Glynne, the lovely owner, who also did my treatment, assured me that my skin would not “overreact” to the facial, which is  tailored to treat carefully a sensitive skin like mine with a risk of misbehaviours like rosacea.  This possibility is always a concern of mine especially when trying new products for the first time.

QMS

Formulated especially to combat signs of ageing, it’s a firming and toning treatment that also extends to the neck, décolleté and breast area with an effective contouring cream. First, my skin was deep-cleansed and exfoliated and then the Algae Mask was applied to sooth, calm and hydrate my skin. This felt lovely and tingly as if I could actually feel it performing its magic.

The Lift Massage with Co-Lectine- 3 was sublime (see below) . An anti-aging treatment fluid designed to strengthen, firm and restore the skin’s youthful tone, it consists of a potent combination of active ingredients embedded in a Hyaluronic Acid gel and acts like a power pack to stimulate the production of Collagen 3 fibres and boost cell renewal. This is a product that I am seriously considering adding to my shelf at home.

I was warned that the Hydrating Hydro Foam Mask might make me feel a little claustrophobic, but not at all. Intensely hydrating, it’s styled to deliver pure relaxation to stressed skin. Enriched with high quality ingredients, my skin felt smooth and silky.

The finishing touch was eye care and moisturiser. I left feeling as if years had dropped away from my face and was also super relaxed.

Glynne also dyed my eyelashes and brows so I truly looked and felt revived when I walked out the door thinking, “I will be back!”.

Favourite Part

All I can say is that Glynne has magic hands! I didn’t want the massage to stop. I felt like my fact reverse-aged at least ten years just from the massage.

Least Favourite Part

The end of the treatment!

Conclusion

It’s always a treat to have a facial, especially when it’s s expertly given. I could see an instant different in the texture, feel and glow of my skin afterwards. If you’re looking for somewhere where your skin will be cared for with consideration for your specific concerns with top quality quality products, then definitely call Aura. I’m definitely trying the massage next time…
