Rubybox Review – November 2012 [VIDEO]

Posted on by Anouschka in Product Reviews, Reviews

I want to quickly share with you, what I got in the November RubyBox.

Due to the truck strikes, I received my beauty box quite late this month and I had read a few grumbles on the Rubybox Facebook page as this must have affected quite a few deliveries.

However, I have been so busy that I honestly had not even noticed how fast time had flown by and was pleasantly surprised when the courier rang my doorbell.

If you don’t know what you can expect to receive every month from your Rubybox subscription, then stick around and I’ll show you exactly what November’s box contained.

What’s in the box?

1) R100 5Rooms coupon – haven’t shopped there yet – so keen to check it out.

2) R20 off Piz Buin lines when you spend R100 or more at Dis-Chem – keen to try their Bronze Dry Oil Spray. Just in time for Summer! Yay!

3 ) Essence ~ Colour & Go ~ Walk Of Fame

At first I wasn’t totally impressed and considered this to be a brand targeted at teens. It comes in these smaller sized bottles which is actually pretty cool as I’ve never finished a bottle of nail polish, and it’s very affordable only R19.95. My favourite polishes are what they call 4 or 5 FREE – meaning that they don’t contain formaldehyde etc and are not tested on animals. But when I did a bit of research I found that Essence is all these too. So I’ve duly changed my mind and put this on my Top list.

4) Essense ~ Stay With Me ~ Long Lasting Lipgloss ~  “I Like Cotton Candy” R29.95

It has a slight fragrance which I’m not too crazy about. I personally don’t like lip products that smell as you can’t get away from it. But it’s not overbearing and the gloss feels really nice on my lips. This is “I like cotton candy” which it perfect for what I’m wearing today.

5) Georgio Armani ~ Armani Code – For him R769

A unique & sensual blend of Tonka bean 7 Gaiae wood, tempered by the freshness of citrus notes and olive blossom. – I want to wear it for myself!

6) Georgio Armani ~ Armani Code ~ For Her R899

As soon as I sprayed this one I remembered that I actually had this one a long time ago and gave it away as I didn’t like it. Funny that I absolutely love the male fragrance but not the female one. Anyway, I know that my nanny likes it, so I’ll gift it to her.

7)La Prairie from R630

An introduction to La Prairie advanced marine biology. Foaming mousse cleanser, revitalising emulsion, eye gel & SPF 20 day cream. I always look up to Swiss products – this is no exception.

We received these sample sachets but I love the actual packaging. Really lucky that we get to test quite a few of their products.

So that’s it for the November box. I hope you’ve enjoyed watching the video – let me know in the comments below. Always great to get feedback.
