Spas Wish List 2013 – Part 2

Posted on by Anouschka in Reviews, Spa Reviews

We’ve all got a wish list or bucket list of things we’d like to do or see, and my Spa Wish List is no different.

I visited and reviewed several spas last year but there are still a few that I’d love to experience, and have made a Spa Wish List for 2013.

Check them out here and choose your favourite in the comments below:

En Masse

Thai Massage experience at En Masse

Bringing the best from the East to the West, what makes En Masse so appealing?

1. No appointment needed, just walk in whenever you feel the need

2. Oil-free, so you don’t need to wash your hair afterwards

3. Fully clothed Thai massage experience – you change into a white linen robe

4. I’m keen to try one of their exotic teas from their ‘tea tree’

Life Day Spa  at the Crystal Towers Hotel in Century City

Life Day Spa

What makes Life Day Spa so special?

1. Part of the prestigious Spas of Distinction group

2.  I’d like to try their own aromatherapy-based body product range, Sulis, which is natural and paraben free.

3. Open 7 days a week and open until 7pm most evenings

4. I think it will be loads of fun to try their Rasul Chamber and Middle Eastern Mud Ritual

5. And their floatation pool

6. And end off chilling by their outdoor pool with a cocktail!

Jiva Grande Spa at  the Taj Cape Town

Jiva Grande Spa

What makes Jiva Grande Spa so different to any other?

1. Features the first Jiva Grande Spa in Africa, which draws from ancient Indian healing wisdom and Ayurveda with authentic, traditional Indian wellness treatments

2.  All products used at Jiva Spas are natural and uniquely developed from Indian herbs, essential oils and special ingredients.

3. Their wet area encompasses a heated indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna and hammam.

3. I truly love a spa journey and Jiva Spa promises to take you ‘through an array of enlivening holistic treatments, meaningful rituals and ceremonies for a truly calming experience’.  Just what every woman needs.

Ginkgo Spa at  L’Ermitage Chateau & Villas

L’ermitage Chateau & Villas

Why I can’t wait to visit?

 1. This is not just about the Spa, which as a Ginkgo spa will be a treat in itself, but definitely also about the hotel

2. Just imagine a night away relaxing in one of their spectacularly beautiful rooms with hubby

3. Then being pampered at Ginkgo Spa

4. And enjoying a meal at Franschhoek Restaurant = pure bliss

Majeka Spa at Majeka House in Stellenbosch

Outdoor massage at Majeka Spa

1. Again not just the Spa but the whole experience is appealing

2. Amazing Garden Terrace

3.  Stunning rooms & bathrooms

4. Beautiful Makaron Restaurant

5. Outdoor Massage! Yes please!

6. Salt Bed – gotta try that one day

Camelot Spa at Le Franschhoek Hotel & Spa

Gorgeous Camelot Spa

“Past a labyrinth path which winds around an ancient oak, set beneath the towering amphitheatre of the Franschhoek mountains, Camelot Spa at Le Franschhoek Hotel is the most glorious of Cape destination spas, where a sensory experience, complete well-being and pure indulgence awaits.”

1. Relaxation Room & Meditation Area which peers out onto a private courtyard

2. Grecian liquid-sound flotation room (with sound in the water and a starry ceiling to enhance the experience)

3. Colour Therapy Room – where you have your treatment whilst based in the chromo-therapeautic benefits of colour – I know my friend Linda would adore this

4. Aromatic herbal sauna and Swiss shower (steam & thin jets of water)

The Spa at 12 Apostles Hotel & Spa

Outdoor massage overlooking the Atlantic Ocean

Why The Spa is on my ‘must visits’ in 2013 list:

1. Hydrotherapy bath, rain showers, Rasul Chamber & tranquility lounge

2. Sunset treatment overlooking the Atlantic Ocean

3. Romantic couples picnic in their gazebo

Gingerlily Spa

I love Gingerlily because….

1.  Situated in the most tranquil gardens of Farriers Centre – you can feel yourself relax as soon as you walk into the courtyard

2. They use two of my favourite brands – Africology and Dermalogica

3. Offer fun and innovative deals and special offers to thank and reward regular clients

Now it’s your turn!
